SOHOBizTube.com, which launched Feb. 6, is a new business-to-business social networking site for the small office/home office (SOHO) crowd. The site is owned by Milwaukee-based SOHO Publishing, which also operates MagazineSOHO, a print publication.
The idea behind SOHOBizTube is to help SOHO biz owners leverage some of the increasingly popular social media tools to promote their business and connect with other SOHOers. For those unfamiliar with social media for business, the site can help you use tools such as blogs, video, podcasts, Twitter and — most importantly — connect you with examples of other SOHO businesses that are using these tools. It also offers a way for members who sign up to distribute their own press releases.
The SOHOBizTube site FAQ has answers to a long list of questions.

I became a sohobiztube member. I like the goal of reaching & connecting with other small business owners. I’m a bit confused at what they’re trying to be and what they’re offering. The “biztube” part of their name makes me feel like it’s a “youtube” for small business and the status setting makes me feel like they’re trying to be like facebook or twitter and the blogs offer makes me feel like they’re trying to be like blogger or wordpress — so overall I’m not sure if the site will be useful in a unique way. Any thoughts? Maybe I’m missing something. Can somebody clear that up for me?
I was pleased to read about the new launch, the site is well designed, very informational and easy to navigate. I look forward to joining!
Every social networking site has core features such as the ability to upload video or update your status. What makes Sohobiztube.com unique is in the design. It is organized around the Company, in such a way that if someone leaves a company, the company doesn’t lose the connections. All in all, the site provides you with a great set of tools to promote your brand, and grow your business. I for one have yet to find another professional networking site with such an appealing design and unique set of features all in one place. I also find it more visually appealing without all the noise and clutter you find on other websites. And compared to what they charge on a lot of other sites for less features, you get a lot more bang for your buck when you upgrade.
