These leaks can injure people and livestock in a variety of ways depending upon the chemicals used. For instance, some chemicals can cause cancer in any number of forms, and others can affect the DNA of the contaminated person so that the problems don't end with them, but also affect their children and future generations.
Before you immediately replace the liners in your storage ponds, you may want to consider having them inspected to determine if they need to be replaced, at all. If they do, hiring an experienced and responsible company to make any needed repairs or relining is highly recommended.
