Sports & Outdoor Media International Plc's principal activities are sports media, sports marketing and outdoor spectacular advertising. The Group operates principally in two areas; 1) as a specialist stadia advertising agent, marketing and selling ground signage and other forms of advertising at major stadia being principally test match cricket and rugby union in the U.K. and test match cricket and "Aussie Rules" football grounds in Australia; 2) developing, marketing, selling and servicing outdoor spectacular advertising sites in Australia, principally in and around the airports at Brisbane and Sydney, the host city for the 2000 Olympics and at major sites around Sydney's Olympic facilities. Sports stadia advertising accounted for 62% of fiscal 1999 revenues; outdoor advertising, 31% and sports consultancy, 7%.
