Company Description
WFS Financial Inc. The Group's principal activity is to purchase, securitize and service fixed rate consumer automobile contracts. It is an independent automobile finance company that originates installment contracts, otherwise known as contracts, secured by new and pre-owned automobiles through its relationships with franchised and independent automobile dealers nationwide. These loans are collectively known as contracts. The contracts are underwritten through a credit approval process that is supported and controlled by a centralized, automated front-end system. The Group originates contracts through its 42 offices in the United States. On 31-Dec-2004, approximately 34% of the Group's contract originations were for the purchase of new automobiles and approximately 66% were for the purchase of pre-owned automobiles.
