RAC plc Formerly known as Lex Service PLC. The Group's principal activity is the provision of motoring and vehicle solutions to individual and business customers. The Group provides service to customers through five business groupings: RAC Consumer Service, sells motoring solutions to individual customers; RAC Business Solutions, sells motoring solutions to business customers and manages outsourcing bids for public and private sector organisations; Lex Vehicle Leasing, provides solutions for fleets of all sizes together with personal leasing and employee car ownership schemes; Lex Industrial Solutions, includes the hire, maintenance and fleet management of commercial vehicles, mechanical handling and other industrial equipment; and Manufacturer Support Services, provides outsourced marketing and inventory management services. Manufacturer support services accounted for 49% of 2002 revenues; RAC consumer services, 28%; RAC business solutions, 12%; Lex industrial solutions, 10% and other, 1%.
