Strattec Security Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to design, develop, manufacture and market mechanical and electro-mechanical locks and related access-control products. The principal products of the Group are locks and keys for cars and trucks. A typical automobile contains a set of three to four locks: a ignition lock, a glove box lock, left front door lock and a deck lid lock. Some vehicles have additional locks for folding rear seat latches, spare tire locks and burglar alarm locks. Additional products include zinc die-cast and magnesium steering column lock housings. The Group is expanding the automotive security/access control product offerings to include hood latches, trunk or liftgate latches, door latches, door handles, and vehicle access modules that contain some or all of these components. The customers of the Group include General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company and Daimler Chrysler Corporation. The Group has operations in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
