Larizza Industries, Inc. operates in the automotive industry, where it manufactures, assembles and markets plastic based components and component and component assemblies used in automobiles, light trucks and vans. It's products are used in the interior of vehicles and range from simple injection molded products to high level component assemblies. The company acquired Hughes Plastics, Inc., a designer and producer of air outlets and instrument panel partsfor the automotive industry. The company gained a series of major contracts in 1994. GM and Ford were the major U.S. customers, with Ford awarding the contracts for the Taurus, Mercury Sable and the Econoline ranges. Larizza expanded it's European operations as it was awarded the contract for the Saab 9000 range. Sales to General Motors accounted for 35% of 94 revenues; Chrysler, 29%, Ford, 19%, Honda, 10% and Other, 7%.
