Calgon Carbon Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to provide services and solutions for purifying water and air, food, beverage, and industrial process streams. It operates in three business segments. The Activated Carbon and Service segment, Equipment segment and Consumer segment. The Activated Carbon and Service segment manufactures granular activated carbon for use in applications to remove organic compounds from water, air and other liquids and gases. The Equipment segment provides solutions to air and water process problems through the design, fabrication and operation of systems that utilize a combination of it's enabling technologies. The Consumer segment manufactures and sells carbon cloth, lump charcoal and briquettes, and new consumer products.
