Company Description
Ardent Software Inc. (formerly VMARK Software, Inc.) designs, develops, markets and supports software for the development and execution of commercial applications for industry standard operating systems. The company also provides a range of services including customer maintenance support, technical support, consulting and education. The primary products of the company are UniVerse and UniData, both softwares that simplifies data mart and data warehouse development. During the year the company merged with Unidata and also acquired Integrasoft. International sales amounted to 43 million. The company acquired all outstanding shares of Prism Solutions, Inc. in april 1999. Software license accounted for 59% of 1998 revenues and consulting, training and software maintenance, 41%.
