Unigraphics Solutions Inc. The principal activity of the Group is the provision of collaborative product design, development and process management software and related services. The software products include mechanical computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided engineering (CAE) and computer-aided industrial design (CAID) solutions. The Company operates in three segments: software application, hardware and consulting and support services. Software application is based on the following core product lines: Unigraphics, Solid Edge, Parasolid , iMAN, e-Vis and eFactory. These products are principally used in automotive and transportation, aerospace, consumer products, equipment, machinery and electronic industries. The Company acquired Engineering Animation Inc in October 2000. The Company offers customization, implementation and integration consulting services to its customers. Consulting and support services accounted for 54% of 2000 revenues; software, 43% and hardware 3%.
