Company Description
VA Software Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to develop, market and support a software application known as SourceForge Enterprise Edition. It also owns and operates OSTG Inc (Open Source Technology Group), a network of Internet Web sites offering advertising, retail and animation services and products. The Group operates through three segments: Software, Online Media and E-commerce. Software segment focuses on its SourceForge software products. The Online Media segment consists of a network of Internet Web sites including SourceForge.net(R), Slashdot.org serving the IT professional and software development communities. The E-commerce segment provides online sales of a variety of retail products of interest to the software development and IT communities. The Group markets its products in the United States through its direct sales force and its online web site. In December 2005, the Group sold its Online Images business to Jupitermedia Corporation.
