Company Description
Hadco Corporation is the largest manufacturer of advanced electronic interconnect products in North America. The company's products are multilayer rigid printed circuits, backplane and systems assemblies. The products are used to interconnect microprocessors, integrated circuits and other components of electronic systems. Systems assemblies include the backplane, power supply, fan card, cabling and system chassis. The company operates six facilities located in California, New York, New Hampshire, Arizona and Malaysia for medium and high volume printed circuit production. During 1999, 22.7% of the company's net sales were outside the United States, principally in Singapore, Canada and Europe. The company markets products through sales and marketing organizations and independent manufacturers' representatives. Hadco Corporation has obtained 13 United States patents and 33 foreign patents. The company has incurred $5,800,000 towards year 2000 expenses. Printed circuits accounted for 83% of 1999 revenues and value added manufacturing, 17%.
