Semiconductor Group develops, manufactures, sells and supports equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits, commonly called microchips. Industrial Applications Group is a supplier of lapping, grinding, polishing and deburring products for fine-surface optimization. The products of the Group are sold to manufacturers of semiconductor integrated circuits or chips who use it in their own products or sell them to other companies for use in electronic products. Major customers include Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd, UMC and Intel Corporation. The Group operates in the United States, France, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. On 18-Nov- 2005, the Group acquired Voumard Machines Co SA.
