Amtech Systems Incorporated. The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture, market and service wafer and semiconductor fabrication equipment and related parts. The products are used in the manufacture of wafers of various materials, primarily silicon wafers for the semiconductor industry and in certain semiconductor fabrication processes. The Group operates through two business segments: Semiconductor Equipment and Polishing Supplies. Semiconductor equipment segment designs, manufactures and markets semiconductor wafer processing and handling equipment used in the fabrication of integrated circuits, solar cells and MEMS. It also provides manufacturing support services. Polishing supplies segment designs, manufactures and markets carriers, templates and equipment used in the lapping and polishing of wafer-thin materials, including silicon wafers used in the production of semiconductors.
