Dayton Power & Light Company (The). The Group's principal activity is to generate and market electricity to residential, commercial, industrial and governmental customers in a 6,000 square mile area of West Central Ohio. The electricity is distributed to Group's 24 county service areas. The electricity is generated at eight power plants and is distributed to more than 500,000 retail customers. The principal industries served include automotive, food processing, paper, plastic manufacturing and defense. Generates and markets electricity to industrial, commercial, governmental and residential customers
