Black Hills Corporation. The Group's principal activities are to provide wholesale energy and retail electric and gas services. Retail service group operates in two segments. Electric Utility segment operates and engages in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to approximately 64,200 customers in South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana. Combination Electric and Gas Utility segment operates and serves approximately 38,900 electric and 32,600 natural gas customers in Cheyenne, Wyoming and vicinity. The Wholesale Energy group operates in power generation, coal, oil and natural gas production, natural gas marketing and crude oil marketing and transportation. On 17-Mar-2006, the Group acquired certain oil and gas assets of Koch Exploration Company LLC. Whole sale energy accounted for 51% of 2006 gross revenues and Retail services, 49%
