Company Description
Kentucky Power Company. The Company's principal activity is to generate, transmit and distribute electric power. The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Electric Power Company, Inc. It provides services to 175,000 retail customers in eastern Kentucky and does business as American Electric Power. It also sells wholesale power to the AEP System Power Pool and municipalities. As a member of the AEP system, the Company operates in conjunction with the facilities of certain other AEP affiliated utilities as an integrated utility system. Generates, transmits and distributes electric power to retail customers in Eastern Kentucky
