TXO Electric Company

TXU Electric Company (formerly known as Texas Utilities Electric Company) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Texas Utilities Company. The company generates, purchase, transmits, distributes and markets electricity in Texas. The electric service area is located in the north central, eastern and western part of Texas. The electric services are provided to 92 counties and 370 incorporated municipalities including Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Plano, Waco, Mosquite, Grand Prairie, Richardson and Killeen. The territory served includes major portions of the oil and gas fields in the Premian Basin and East Texas.
