C&D Technologies, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture integrated reserve power systems for telecommunications, electronic information and industrial applications. It operates in three segments. The Standby Power Division manufactures and markets integrated components industrial batteries and fully integrated reserve power systems and components which includes UPS applications for computer and corporate data networks. The Power Electronics Division includes custom, standard and modified standard DC to DC converters, embedded high frequency AC to DC and DC to DC switching power supplies and magnetics. The Motive Power Division markets systems and individual components to power, monitor and test the batteries used in vehicles. The Group's trademarks include C&D(R), DYNASTY(R) and LIBERTY(R). It operates in the United States and other countries. In 2005, it acquired Celab Limited and Datel Holding Corporation and its subsidiaries.
