Espec Corporation

Tabai Espec Corp. was established in 1947 and incorporated in 1954. The company is the largest manufacturer of environment testing equipment and devices in Japan. It also provides semiconductor testing equipment, bio-laboratory equipment and testing services. Environmental simulation equipment and devices accounted for 68% of fiscal 1999 revenues; semiconductor testing equipment, 16% and biological equipment and other including testing equipment rental and testing services, 16%. The company has five consolidated subsidiaries, four in Japan and one in the United States. Overseas sales accounted for 19.7% of fiscal 1999 revenues.
