MSA a.s., was established in 1890 and reprivatized in 1993. The company is a producer of valves for the gas and petroleum industries as well as the energy, heating and water supplies sectors. In addition the company produces horizontal and vertical pumps and turn-key units. The group is committed to the quality control management standard TUV ISO 9001. The company has representative offices in Bulgaria, Russia and Singapore. MSA a.s. exports to the USA, Slovakia, Germany and Poland. MSA has six domestic and three foreign subsidiaries (in Bulgaria, Russia and Singapore). Armatures accounted for 79% of 1999 revenues; casts, 6%; pumps, 3%; turn-key units, 3%; services, 2%; wood products, 1% and other activities, 6%.
