Lone Star Technologies, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to manufacture and market steel tubular products which is used in the completion and production of oil and gas wells. The Group also manufactures line pipe used to gather and transmit oil and natural gas. The Group operates in three segments: Oilfield, Specialty tubing and Flat rolled steel and other products. Oilfield products include casing, tubing, linepipe and couplings that are marketed to oil and gas drilling industry. Specialty tubing includes the manufacture, marketing and sale of a variety of custom-engineered tubular products used in exacting applications such as the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders for construction and farm equipment, automotive applications, such as stabilizers and intrusion tubes, including machine parts, bearing races, down-hole pump barrels, etc . Flat rolled steel and other tubular goods are used in the manufacture of oil country tubular products and precision mechanical tubular products.
