Company Description
Alberta Natural Gas Company Ltd., 49.9% owned subsidiary of TransCanada PipeLines Limited, owns and operates a large-diameter pipeline for the transportation of natural gas through southeastern British Columbia to the U.S. Pacific Northwest and California. The company also owns and operates an ethane and natural gas liquids extraction facility located near Cochrane, Alberta and markets natural gas in Canada and the United States. Its specialty chemicals division manufactures at facilities located in the U.S. and Germany and markets worldwide to a broad range of industries. Natural gas marketing and services accounted for 42% of 1994 revenues; chemicals, 24%; extraction, 24%; and pipelines, 10%.
