Sunoco, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are petroleum refining and marketing and chemicals manufacturing with interests in logistics and cokemaking. It operates in five segments: Refining and Supply, Retail Marketing, Chemicals, Logistics and Coke. The Refining and Supply segment manufactures petroleum products and commodity petrochemicals. The Retail Marketing segment sells gasoline and middle distillates. The Chemical segment manufactures phenol and related products at chemical plants. The Logistics segment operates refined product, crude oil pipelines and terminals. The Coke segment makes blast-furnace coke. The Group operates primarily in the Northeast, Midwest, South Central regions of the United States. In December 2006, it acquired the limited partnership interest of the third-party investor in the Jewell cokemaking operation.
