Company Description
China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation. The Group's principal activities are the exploration, development, and production of crude oil and natural gas. It transports, refines and markets crude oil, natural gas and products by pipelines. Other activities include manufacturing of chemical fibres, plastics, intermediate petrochemical products, synthetic fibres, resins, polyester chips and polyester fibres. Marketing and distribution accounted for 57% of 2002 revenues; chemicals, 18%; refining, 15% exploration and production, 3% and corporate and other, 7%.
