The Group's principal activities are to collect, transfer, recycle and disposal of non-hazardous solid waste services to residential, commercial and industrial customers. The Collection operation involves collecting and transporting non-hazardous waste from the point of generation to the transfer station or to the site of disposal. It performs residential collection services under individual monthly subscriptions directly to households or under contracts with municipal governments. Recycling services include curbside collection of recyclable materials and material recovery. The disposal procedures include excavation, spreading and compacting of waste and covering of waste with earth or other inert material. As of 31-Dec-2006, it operated in 128 major markets in 37 states and Puerto Rico. It operates only in the United States and Puerto Rico.
