Headwaters, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide products, technologies and services to the energy and construction materials industries. It operates through three segments: Construction Materials, Alternative Energy and Coal Combustion Products. Construction materials segment designs, manufactures and sells architectural stone and resin-based exterior siding accessories and related products such as shutters, mounting blocks and vents. Alternative energy segment includes traditional coal-based solid alternative fuel business. It also develops and commercializes catalysts and catalytic processes for producing chemicals and converting low-value fossil fuels into high-value alternative fuels. Coal combustion products segment includes supply of post-combustion services and technologies to the coal-fired electric utility industry. The Group operates in the United States.
