Company Description
Artesian Resources Corporation. The Group's principal activity is to supply water throughout the state of Delaware. It sources water from wells that pump groundwater from aquifers and other natural water-bodies in the Atlantic Coastal Plain. A part of the supply includes surface water purchased from neighboring water utilities and municipalities through interconnections. The Group owns 107 operating and 62 monitoring wells. The Group also supplies water to public fire protection service through 4,000 hydrants in its service territories. The consumers include residential, commercial, industrial, governmental, municipal and utility customers throughout Delaware. At 31-December-2006, the Group had 73,800 metered customers and served a population of approximately 243,000.
