AIM Distribution Trust PLC (The). The Company's principal activity is that of a Venture Capital Trust Company. The objective of the Company is to combine the growth opportunities offered by investments in smaller companies, principally those whose shares are traded on AIM with the substantial tax reliefs available for investors in Venture Capital Trusts. The Company is no longer an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue & Customs as a Venture Capital Trust for the purposes of Section 842AA of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988.Investment management services are provided by Rathbone Investment Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 1.5% (inclusive of VAT) of the value of the net assets of the Company at the relevant valuation date payable in quarterly instalments.
