3i European Technology Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to achieve capital growth by investing in quoted companies, which have a significant focus on technology oriented activities, and which are principally based in Europe or have operations in Europe. The Trust does not invest in life science companies. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act, 1985. The Company has been approved by the Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Apr-2003. Investment management services are provided by 3i Investments PLC for a fee calculated at 1.0% (plus VAT) per annum of the value of the Trust's gross assets (net of current liabilities other than overdraft finance) payable quarterly in arrears.
