Athelney Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Company. The objective of the Company is to achieve long-term capital growth while at the same time producing a progressive income return. Investments made by the Company are primarily in the equity securities of both unquoted and quoted United Kingdom companies, including smaller companies with a market capitalisation of below £50 million. At 31-Dec-2005, the Company followed the normal activities of an Investment Company. Investment management expenses have been allocated 25% to revenue and 75% to capital, in line with the Company's expected long term split of returns, in the form of income and capital gains respectively, from the investment portfolio.
