INVESCO English and International Trust plc. The Group's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust Company. It invests mainly in the United Kingdom quoted smaller companies. The objective of the Group is to invest in companies offering particular value and holds a large number of investments in order to maximise investment opportunity whilst controlling the impact of stock-specific risk. The Group is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Group has been approved by the HM Revenue and Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 05-Apr-2005.Investment management services are provided by INVESCO Asset Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 0.8% per annum (plus VAT) by reference to the total gross assets of the Group less current liabilities.
