Atlantic Financial Corp is a multi bank holding company. The company through its subsidiaries provides banking services to individuals and small to medium sized businesses. The subsidiaries of the company, The Bank of Franklin (BOF) and The Bank of Sussex and Surry (BSS) merged under the name United Community Bank in 1999. The company's subsidiaries are Peninsula Trust Bank (PTB) and United Community Bank (UCB). Peninsula Trust Bank offers variety of loan and deposit services, personal lines of credit, equity lines, credit cards and merchant accounts. United Community Bank offers financial services, mainly for individuals and small and medium size businesses. The services include commercial, demand, savings, time deposit accounts, ATM services, sales of US savings bonds, collection items and official checks. Till date the company incurred $200,000 towards year 2000 expenses. Interest and fees on loans accounted for 70% of 1999 revenues; other interest income, 23% and non-interest income, 7%.
