The operations are conducted through its subsidiaries: MBNA America Bank, a national bank in the United States and its principal subsidiary MBNA Europe, a fully chartered bank in the United Kingdom and MBNA Canada, a fully chartered bank in Canada. The Group issues endorsed credit cards primarily to members of associations and customers of financial institutions and other organizations. It also offers standard, gold and platinum plus personal and business credit cards on the MasterCard and Visa networks. In addition to its credit card lending, the Group also offers consumer loans, Commercial Loans, deposit products, life and disability, automobile and life and health insurance products to its customers.
