Centennial Bancorp. The Group's principal activity is to provide commercial banking services in Oregon and Washington. A holding company for the Centennial Bank, the Group accepts deposits and lends loans to commercial, industrial and agricultural enterprises, financial and governmental entities and individuals. Deposits include savings, money market, checking and interest-checking and individual retirement accounts and certificates of deposit. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation insures the deposit accounts. Loans originated include commercial and residential real estate, residential mortgage and commercial loans. The Group also originates conventional and federally insured residential mortgage loans for sale in the secondary market. At 31-Dec-2001, the Group operated from 22 branch offices in the Greater Portland and Eugene/Springfield area in Oregon and two branches in Vancouver, Washington, serving small to medium-sized businesses and professionals in these communities.
