Sodecco is a one-bank holding company which provides lending, depository and other financial services in the central areas of France. It is a "Societe de Developpement Regional" - a bank which contributes to the development of the region in which it operates, through helping its local industries. Baticentre, its only fully consolidated subsidiary, is a land and real estate company. In 2000 Credit Industriel et Commercial acquired 64% of Sodecco. Interest and fees on loans accounted for 67% of 1998 revenues; interest income on bank deposits, 31% and other interest income 2%.
