It also originates loans for the construction of residential real estate, loans secured by multifamily real estate, loans for commercial business purposes and nonresidential real estate loans. The consumer loans provided by the Group include unsecured loans, passbook loans, loans secured by motor vehicles and home improvement loans. The categories of deposits include NOW, money market accounts, passbook accounts and certificates of deposits. In addition, the Group also invests in U.S. Government and agency obligations, interest-bearing deposits in other financial institutions and mortgage-backed securities.
