NASB Financial, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to attract deposits from the general public and to originate real estate loans, other loans and short-term investments. The Group operates in three segments. The Banking segment provides a full range of banking services through the Bank's branch network, exclusive of mortgage loan originations. The Local Mortgage Banking segment originates mortgage loans for sale to investors and for the portfolio of the Banking segment. The National Mortgage Banking segment originates mortgage loans via the internet primarily for sale to investors. The Group obtains funds mainly from deposits received from the general public, sales of loans and loan participations, advances from the FHLB and principal repayments on loans and mortgage-backed securities. The operations are conducted through eight full service offices located in Jackson, Cass, Clay, Buchanan, Andrew, Platte and Ray in Missouri and Johnson and Wyandotte counties in Kansas.
