Other services provided include tax refund anticipation loans, specialty insurance, commercial loans and leases, periodic payment annuities and other types of unsecured loans. On March 28, 2003, Household was acquired by HSBC Holdings plc by way of merger with H2 Acquisition Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC, in a purchase business combination.
