Student Loan Corporation (The). The Group's principal activity is to provide student loans. The Group originates, manages and services federally insured student loans through a trust agreement with Citibank, N.A. (CBNA), an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Citigroup Inc. The Group provides subsidized Federal Stafford loans, unsubsidized Federal Stafford loans, Federal Parent Loans to Undergraduate Students (PLUS) and Federal Consolidation Loans. In addition, the Company offers Supplemental Loans for Students (SLS Loans). The Group also owns a portfolio of Health Education Assistance Loans (HEAL Loans), composed of guaranteed student loans for borrowers in designated health professions under a federally insured loan program.
