AGF Marine Aviation Transport SA (formerly Compagnie d'Assurances Maritimes, Aeriennes et Terrestres (CAMAT) SA) is an insurance company which provides marine, aviation, automobile, fire and general liability insurance. The group is primarily based in France, but some investments are held abroad. In 1995, CAMAT acquired interests in Massar Consultants (40%), Oribis (40%) and J.P. Labalette SA (8%). Marine insurance premiums accounted for 37% of 1995 gross premium income; aviation premiums, 22% and other fire, accident and general risk premiums, 41%. Maritime, aviation and other non-marine insurance premiums accounted for 94% of 1995 revenues; investment income, 5%; other operating income and gain/loss on sale of securities, 1%.
