Company Description
Asian Technology Trust PLC. The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing in a diversified portfolio comprising predominantly listed technology or technology-related companies which are quoted on stock exchanges in Asia or which are located or headquartered in or derive a material part of their revenues from Asia. The Company has conducted its affairs so as to satisfy the conditions for approval as an Investment Trust set out in Section 846 of the Income & Corporation Taxes Act 1988 & have received such approval for the year ended 31-Aug-2001.Investment management services is provided by Investec Investment Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 1.0% (plus VAT) of gross assets, including those financed by borrowings under the Uncommitted Loan Facility (net of current liabilities). The manager also receives US$75,000 per annum for secretarial accounting & administration services.
