Kongeriget Danmarks Hypotekbank. Involved in financial management activities, including the administration of government loans, guarantees and grants, government lottery bonds, the sale to private citizens of government tap issues, inscription and repurchase of bonds and collection of arrears. The Bank is also responsible for matters relating to the European Investment Bank, of which the Minister of Finance is Governor. The Bank has discontinued borrowing operations of new loans and the granting of new lendings in the light of the Minister of Finance's announcement that the Government has introduced a Bill on the Liquidation of the Bank. Future activities will consist of the repayment of previously raised loans, lending agreements and activities in connection with these. Interest on bonds accounted for 52% of 2000 revenues; interest on loans, 43%; interest on banking and other, 5%.
