Bank of Ireland (The Governor and Company). The Group's principal activity is providing a range of banking and other financial services. It has five business segments, Retail Republic of Ireland, UK Financial Services, Wholesale Financial Services, BOI Life and Asset Management Services. Retail Republic of Ireland combines retail financial services through the bank network, electronic and telephone channels and retail businesses. UK Financial Services serves the business community in Great Britain. Wholesale Financial Services incorporates corporate banking, treasury and international banking, davy stockbrokers, private banking, first rate enterprises and IBI corporate finance. BOI Life is the Group's life and pensions business. Asset Management Services comprises Bank of Ireland Asset Management Ltd, which is the investment management arm of the Group, and Bank of Ireland Securities Services Ltd, which encompasses safekeeping of domestic and overseas securities, fund accounting and investment administration.
