The activities are divided into three segments: Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Investment Management. The Investment Banking division provides advice to corporate, institutional and government clients on mergers, acquisitions and other financial matters. The Capital Markets division includes the Group's institutional client flow activities, prime brokerage, research, mortgage origination and secondary- trading and financing activities in fixed income and equity products. The Investment Management division consists of the Asset Management and Private Investment Management Businesses. The Group operates in the United States, North America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific region.
