Barra, Inc.. The Group's principal activity is to provide investment risk management for financial professionals. The Group operates in two segments: Core business and Venture business. Core business provides Portfolio risk management and Enterprise risk management systems. Portfolio risk management are designed to help investment professionals construct optimal portfolios by measuring and managing risk. Venture business develops new lines of business by leveraging our core research and development into new markets. POSIT is a product of Venture business. During fiscal year 2002, Group discontinued Symphony Asset Management LLC, Barra RogersCasey and Strategic Consulting Group and Bond Express. In Dec 2002, it acquired Financial Engineering Associates Inc and Investment Performance Objects Ltd. Portfolio and Enterprise accounted for 88% of fiscal 2003 revenues & Risk Management, 12%
