Company Description
United Biscuits (Holdings) Plc manufactures and distributes biscuits, savoury snacks and chilled and frozen foods. The group operates in 21 countries, has 40 manufacturing sites worldwide and distributes its products in over 90 countries. Some of the group's better known branded products include San Marco pizzas, Hula Hoops, McVities biscuits, Jaffa cakes, KP Nuts and Linda McCartneys vegetarian range. The Group acquired Delacre & Meiji McVitie in 98. Manufacture and distribution of biscuits and snacks accounted for 77% of 1998 gross revenues and frozen & chilled foods, 23%.
