Labatt (John) Limited operates in two core businesses, brewing and broadcasting. Labatt Breweries of Canada operates nine breweries across Canada. Labatt Breweries of Europe which operates three breweries in Italy and Labatt UK which maintains contractual arrangements with regional and national partners for the brewing and/or distribution of Labatts brands within the United Kingdom. It also imports & markets packaged Labatt & Birra Moretti brands & exports Labatt brands produced in Europe to major European countries. Labatt Breweries International coordinates international activities outside North America and Europe such as the licensing of Labatt Canada's technology and brands. Sports, broadcast & entertainment is divided into two segments Labatt Communications Inc. & Supercorp/Skyvision. Labatt Communications broadcasts french and english sports programmes, specialty non-fiction programmes and other transmission services, in addition to an advertising sale representation agency and an equity interest in SkyDome, a 55,000 seater all weather sports and live entertainment venue. Supercorp/Skyvision produces television commercials, episodic television programming for domestic and foreign markets, promotes live-events & sells related apparel & represents music, film & televison artists in North America & the United Kingdom. Brewing acctd for 74% of fiscal 1994 revenues & broadcast, sports and entertainment, 26%.
