Plzensky Prazdroj a.s.. Plzensky Prazdroj a.s. has a long tradition of brewing beer dated back as far as 1295. Apart from production of beer, malt, soft beverages, artificial ice, carbon dioxide, spirits, the company is also involved in construction of machines with mechanical drive, accommodation services, catering trade, operation of museum exhibitions, advertising and promotion renting of transport vehicles, construction, travel agency business, waste treatment and other activities. Plzensky Prazdroj became a joint stock company in June 1994 after two state owned companies, Plzenske Pivovary and Plzensky Prazdroj, merged together. The main brands of beer that the company produces are: Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinus, Primus (pale beer and pale lager, alcohol free), Dia beer, Purkmistr, Prior, Pisar and Malt.
