Company Description
Hobson plc manufactures and supplies own label foods and drinks to the United Kingdom food retailing sector. During 1994 the Company purchased F.E. Barber Limited from the Co-Operative Wholesale Society Limited and subsequently sold off the packing, cannery and oils & fats divisions. Barber has an agreement to supply the largest Co-Operative (CWS) with own label products through November 1999. Soft and alcoholic drinks accounted for 56% of 1994 revenues and packaged groceries, 44%.
